Review: Kitty and the Silver Bullet by Carrie Vaughn

In book four of the werewolf DJ series, Kitty’s book, “Underneath the Skin” is about to be released. When she hears that her mother has breast cancer and must be operated on, she and Ben rush home to Denver. She knows that making this move will appear to be an act of aggression in the eyes of Carl and Meg, the alpha wolves in her former pack. A turf war is taking place between the Denver vampires and lycanthropes. Rick, Denver’s Vampire Master, asks Kitty to step in on this turf war. Kitty is forced to become the alpha wolf she has thus far avoided. Kitty must step up, grow a backbone, and help save the lives of those closest to her, and all the while, her mom is going through the scariest time of her life. This has to be my favorite of all the Kitty books thus far. Kitty’s character has grown and developed into a strong and powerful woman/wolf. The action keeps you begging for more. Be prepared to devote some time to reading this book—because once you start it, you won’t be able to stop. Another great book by Vaughn!
