Hot Jazz

"Beat it you hopped-up sap!" said Charlie-boy to the wide-eyed heeler who was trying to dance with the baby vamp he'd had his eye on all night.

The drum was the elephant's eyebrows; the band was playing hot jazz and Charlie-boy couldn't have cared less if a bull had charged in and pinched him that night for being splifficated.

He looked into the smarty's eyes and said "Cash or Check?"

She leaned forward and whispered gently into his ear.

Charlie-boy grinned as he grabbed her by the hand, pulled her towards the exit, and said "Let's blow this joint!"

So, did you enjoy your trip back in time to the roaring twenties? Looks like old Charlie-boy is in for a good night, no wonder he is in high spirits. If you need a hand with any of the slang visit: http://home.earthlink.net/~dlarkins/slang-pg.htm

  1. This is spectacular. In just five simple sentences you really brought the scene to life. I heard the music and saw the sparkle in his eye and pep in his step!!
